Caroline Muse received her massage therapy certification in 1992, and a special certification in Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) from the Vodder School in Walchsee, Austria in (YEAR). For eight years, she performed treatments and taught patient self care at the Lymphedema Center at University Hospitals of Cleveland, the first hospital-based lymphedema treatment center in the United States. Caroline was a volunteer massage therapist at The Living Room (a support center for people living with HIV/AIDS), and a collaborator on the establishment of the massage therapy program at The Gathering Place (a support center for people in cancer recovery). She has spoken about massage and lymphedema to several recovery and support organizations, as well as to healthcare practitioners interested in medical massage therapies. Caroline has a BA in Sociology and certification in Social Work. She is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and the North American Vodder Association of Lymphatic Therapy.
